We believe that many, if not all, social problems in our society today like drug abuse, children born out of wedlock, crime, increasing dependence on welfare and many others can all be linked to the absence of a father growing up.
We not only believe a cultural change is necessary, we are trying to make that happen in our community.
The number of children who need Foster care in our community is alarming
…and there are not enough volunteer families to meet the need. For the first time ever in Spokane County DSHS had to house children waiting for a foster family in hotels.
