The Congressional recognition, delivered just days after SpoFI’s Building Legacy celebration, acknowledged the organization’s evidence-based programming and the broader truth that “when fathers are present, engaged children do better and entire communities prosper.”

Building Legacy: Nearly 200 Gather to Celebrate Fatherhood and Family Transformation
The Spokane Fatherhood Initiative’s Building Legacy fundraiser brought together nearly 200 community members for an evening that showcased the transformative power of engaged fatherhood. Held November 15th, the event raised approximately $175,000 toward the organization’s $200,000 annual goal, bringing SpoFI within reach of fully funding another year of life-changing programming.
